One Missions Students wants to help you as you are seeking to be obedient to God’s call to serve the nations this summer! Applying to serve internationally through One Mission Students qualifies you for up to 30% of your total field costs and transportation in financial assistance if you complete all requirements listed below. The funding provided by One Mission Students is factored into the trip cost listed for each project. Financial assistance is also based on the amount of fundraising assistance you provide in your local BCM or church. If you’re considering service internationally – get your passport today! All students serving internationally must have submitted an application for a passport before Feb. 10, 2025.

One Mission Students Must Be:
- Maturing Christians
- Active in an Alabama BCM or Alabama Baptist Church
- Be of good physical and emotional health
- Participate in personal evangelism on your college campus
- Students must refrain from any use of alcohol, tobacco, pornography, sexual contact outside of marriage, and/or any other activity that will call into question your integrity or hinder one’s witness for Christ.
- Completed one semester of college
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Complete a local interview with your BCM campus minister or local church collegiate minister
- Attend One Day on February 8 at Alberta Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. This will be a time where students are interviewed and talk through next steps of serving through One Mission Students. You will receive more information about this day when you apply.
- You must also attend One Mission Students Weekend, April 11-12 at WorldSong Missions Place in Cook Springs, Alabama. You will receive more information about this when you are appointed. This weekend will provide you with information about your service opportunity this summer and training in evangelism, safety, and security.
- Commitment to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the US State Department
- You must also complete two report forms as you serve throughout the summer.
- If you are applying internationally, you should either already have a passport with an expiration date of more than 6 months from the end date of the project you are applying for OR have already applied for your passport!
- You must be willing to be vaccinated with any vaccines required by a country for travel to or through that country. The One Mission Students team will discuss this further with you on a case-by-case basis.
American Samoa :: Nehemiah Teams Samoan Summer :: June 5 – August 2

In partnership with national Baptist believers, be a part of outreach to youth and children. Help with youth ministry, small group discipleship, VBS, general evangelism and other church activities. Use your interest in music, sports, and children & youth ministry to open doors to homes and hearts with the goal of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. You will make life long friends with the friendly & hospitable Samoan people.
Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will then travel to your field destination for the summer. At the end of the summer, you’ll return for some final days of debrief. Participants must commit to the entire program from orientation through the end of debrief.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to be passionate about children and youth ministry and willing to use their music, sports, etc. skills to engage children with the Gospel.
Athens, Greece :: Summer Missions Interns with a Focus on Engaging Refugees :: May 15-July 5

Come alongside the IMB team ministering to refugees and others in Athens! This team of students will engage with and help host and coordinate short term volunteer teams; and assist in running a community center. Students will also engage the community through street conversations, mapping and prayer walking.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to be passionate and willing to engage refugees coming from hard situations. There will also be a lot of walking in potentially extreme heat conditions.
Chiapas, Mexico :: SS ’25 Bible Storying in Rural Mexico :: May 27-Jul 17
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $2804 (includes housing, most meals, transportation, and travel insurance)
WHAT YOU PAY (includes OMS Contribution): $1950
We are working with unreached indigenous peoples that live in the rural mountains of Southern Mexico. The Zoque desire to live a more simple life and believe their good works will earn them eternity. Our team shares Bible stories, visits people in their homes, and hosts special events with youth, children, and adults. We pursue entry points to share the gospel, disciple new believers, bridge the cultural gap, and earn trust in the community. We invite you to join us this summer! Your daily activities might include prayer walking, visiting homes to tell Bible stories, and sharing meals. If you have experience with music, sports or crafts, there may be opportunities to use those skills in outreach activities. Additionally, you can expect to be trained and mentored by IMB missionaries.
Special requirements: You must be bold and a self-starter. This project is in a rural setting – meaning not only will life be slow, but you many Western conveniences will be unavailable. Spanish is helpful, but not required.
Colombia :: Compassion Ministry in Colombia :: May 27-July 17

We partner with Colombian Baptists to serve the most vulnerable peoples in Cucuta, Colombia, including Venezuelan refugees. The people are in desperate need. We are able to help some of them physically, while offering spiritual nourishment and an opportunity to know Christ.
Your daily work might include serving children, youth, or adults at one of several church plants or humanitarian houses alongside local ministry partners. An intermediate level of Spanish is required to listen to hurting people, share the gospel compassionately, and strengthen local ministry partners.
Your interest and experience would be matched with the ministry needs. And while serving you can expect to be trained and mentored in church planting and compassion ministries by an IMB missionary.
Special requirements: You must be bold and a self-starter. Many that will be served by students on this project will have difficult backgrounds. A heart of compassion and desire to serve the ‘least of these’ is necessary. An intermediate level of Spanish is required.
Germany :: Summer Missions Interns :: May 15-July 5

We partner and work closely with local Christians and national partners to catalyze and facilitate the mission work. Relationships and fellowship with local leaders and lost people are essential avenues and contexts of our ministries. We spend most of our time with people: traveling to meet them, sharing life and meals, building deep partnerships and friendships, praying and reading the Word of God together, and planning and organizing all kinds of ministry. Partner with us in what God is doing in the Rhine-Ruhr region of West Germany – the third most populated region in all of Europe!
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to be learners, willing to engage in a variety of ministry opportunities and learn from the missions leadership. You will need to be a self-starter and willing to walk several kilometers each day.
Guadalajara, Mexico :: SS ’25 University Ministry Leadership Lab :: May 27 – July 17

Are you part of your campus ministry’s leadership team? Do you speak Spanish? We need your help! We are working with Mexican Baptists to reach university students for Christ in Guadalajara, Mexico. We want to invest in local leaders through leadership training and practical ministry experience. Your daily work might include mapping and prayer walking a university campus, or connecting with students in coffee shops and hosting an English conversation club. You will do all these things alongside local believers as you model discipleship and passion for evangelism with the college students of Guadalajara churches. Also, you can expect a multicultural team experience with mentoring and leadership development by an IMB missionary.
Special requirements: This project is designed for students that want to engage the university campus. You must be bold and a self-starter. Spanish is required.
Lima, Peru :: SS ’25 Church Planting Internship :: May 27, 2025 – Jul 17, 2025

Make disciples through church planting in a major global city: Lima, Peru! Yes, there is still major lostness in the Americas. Millions of people have never heard the good news or been presented with the opportunity to follow Jesus. Our team enjoys making disciples by doing things we already love such as sports, surfing, arts, and music. What do you love? Could you do it here with us to tell people about Jesus? Let’s find out! As a Summer Sojourner in Lima, Peru you will partner with a missionary team to fight back against lostness using the unique skills and interests the Lord has given you. And, you can expect to be trained and mentored in cross-cultural church planting.
Special requirements: You must be bold and a self-starter. Students must be willing to use their gifts and interests to engage those they interact with in Lima. Students need to be willing to learn more about what church planting looks like in an international context. Spanish is helpful, but not required.

But that’s not all. Our local churches need your partnership to serve alongside them as they connect with their local university students to share the Gospel and disciple this next generation.

Mozambique :: Nehemiah Teams Sports, Refugees and ESL :: June 5 – August 2

Do you have a passion for sports ministry, refugee outreach, and English as a Second Language classes? Come spend your summer being mentored and proclaiming the gospel to a predominately lost Muslim community in East Africa. Serve alongside this team as we engage unreached peoples who have been displaced by violence. Use your heart language to teach English and build relationships alongside us for the sake of the Gospel. Instruct and help develop a sports ministry to impact the youth in the city. You will work alongside other young missionaries, experienced families, and their team of national partners, to engage those who have never heard the true Gospel.
Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. North Africa/Middle East :: Community Center Engagement :: May 27 – July 19

Come serve at a Community and English Language Center in North Africa/Middle East (NAME). Use what the Father has gifted you with to serve the community and create opportunities to boldly share the Truth of Christ. This unique platform gives you the opportunity to meet your neighbors where they are. Whether it is community development through sports, art, business/trade seminars, or through teaching English, come and use your gifts and hobbies to help serve and share Truth in NAME.

North Africa/Middle East :: Frontline Evangelism Through Cultural Exchange :: May 27-July 19

Share Truth on the front lines of North Africa/Middle East (NAME) through our cultural exchange program. Build friendships with English-speaking Arab college students, study Arabic, volunteering your time to serve locals, and immerse yourself in the culture of one of NAME’s largest cities. You’ll be a learner, a partner, a sower, and a friend. The harvest is plentiful – come and work the field!

North Africa/Middle East :: Frontline Intern :: May 27 – July 19

Come help support a new work in an unengaged sector of an exciting North African megacity! Help lay the foundation for this work that we pray will bear fruit for years to come! Assist as an ESL teacher in a community development center and utilize the gifts God has given you to engage with the young adults in our city. As a teacher, you will not only help these people, many of whom are refugees, improve their lives, but will also have abundant opportunity to communicate the truth of God’s love to the next generation. The position will offer some natural fluidity. We want you to effectively use your talents and gifts! Yes, you will teach English, but you will also have the opportunity to use your talents, passions, hobbies, etc. for the sake of the Kingdom. Come expecting to work side by side with a field team that is committed to and passionate about the Gospel! Our primary goal for you is that you abide abundantly in Christ while you are with us. We want you sharing your faith out of an overflow of what Jesus is doing in you. We will also need some help running our newly established community center. Come spend the summer with us in North Africa! You will have the opportunity to help implement various summer camps (multi-sport, baseball, basketball, swimming, art, music, etc.). We are also looking for someone to do photography and media during summer camps. Other opportunities include teaching English, Art, Music/Dance, or Technology.
While helping at camp, you will have numerous opportunities to interact with local coaches and teachers. You are encouraged to spend as much time as possible with your new local friends over coffee, in their homes, at the beach, etc. During these visits, you will be presented with many opportunities to share the Good News. Our team will also spend time with you each week for mentorship and fellowship.

Philippines :: Nehemiah Teams Philippine Agriculture Team :: June 5 – August 2

Work hard to produce a harvest! This is a motto of many farmers. As a “mission farmer” this summer, you’ll be planting more than just physical seeds! Spend your days working on a research/demonstration farm in the tribal areas of the Philippines. While working alongside national and tribal partners, you’ll learn practical ways to help develop the countryside through simple yet practical farming techniques. Your weekends will be spent in local communities, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, working alongside the local church and tribal missionaries through training in evangelism & missions.
Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Romania :: Romania Summer Interns :: May 28-July 23

You bring a unique set of skills and abilities, and we’re looking forward to seeing how God uses you this summer. Just as you come from a variety of places, you will most likely be serving in a variety of places as well. We have a number of partnerships on the Eastern side of the country and will be exploring some opportunities to engage along the Moldovan border. We will work to break your team up into smaller teams to serve in a variety of ministry settings across the country. We will work with you to determine what your gifts and skills are and how they can best be used to serve the people across our country.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to be willing to use whatever gifts they have (sports, art, music, ESL, etc.) to further Gospel impact in Romania.
Santiago, Chile :: ESL/Sports/Recreation in Santiago :: May 27 – July 17

We would love to have you join our team! We will connect you as volunteers in local schools near our church plants, where you will develop friendships with Chilean youth for the purpose of making disciples. Your daily activities might include teaching English or sports and recreation in the local school or spending time with new friends for evangelism and discipleship.
Chile has a large Roman Catholic majority, especially among business & professional families where there is 0% Evangelical Christians. You will serve alongside the IMB team in Santiago or its suburbs in a church planting opportunity.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project will need to have some skills/interest in English as a Second Language, sports and/or recreation.
South Asia :: Himalayan Summer :: May 20-July 1

Come participate in a practical missions internship to learn alongside some of the best practitioners in the world. You will begin this journey with practical orientation and training and as well as reading assignments to grow your practical knowledge of the task and sharpen the tools in your tool belt as you engage in this work. You will have on the ground opportunities to see what church planting looks like, taking an area from zero believers or understanding of who Jesus is, towards belief, baptism, church formation, church planting and discipleship all the way through to sending and multiplying disciples and churches. You won’t be alone in this journey, as you will be mentored along the way and have the regular and valuable input of leadership who will challenge you in your own understanding of missiology. You will leave South Asia with practical on the ground experience in each part of the core missionary task. Come join us in engaging lostness and reaching those who have never heard before!
Special requirements: This project is designed for students with some missions experience. If you are looking for next steps in missions service and an intentional discipleship and hands-on education experience with missions personnel, this is the right project for you.

South Asia is home to some of the most populated cities in the world. Here you will enter into a collision of culture and diversity right here in the urban centers of South Asia! Sift through the masses to find those who God has been preparing to hear the good news. Work alongside of the local church here in South Asia to reach the city. Share the gospel broadly, disciple, equip believers, and train the next generation of disciples. Be a light in the darkness!

For those of you who are willing to let the Lord shake & shape you… Welcome, this may be the place for you this summer. The great missionary C.T Studd said ”Some wish to live within the sound of a chapel bell, I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of Hell.” Come to our tropical nation, sit on the floor in one room homes, and be the first to share the Good News of the kingdom of God. Or light a fire in someone’s heart to share the love of Christ on university campuses that will keep burning when you return home, as we seek Him to powerfully work among university students. Lastly, you may be more wired to disciple those who have believed and help them further understand how to live as a World Christian. Every day here, another hundred enter into a Christless eternity, consider joining us and witnessing the Father work in and through you here.

Southeast Asia :: Nehemiah Teams Urban Risk Taker :: June 5-August 2

Join us in our city of 3.5 million people, from all walks of life, who are trapped in darkness. We need students who are ready, able, and eager to be creative and look for ways to engage our city with the Gospel. Using your gifts and skills, you can impact our city by engaging the English language community, doing outreach to victims of human trafficking, involvement in small business development, and exploring the streets looking for open doors.

Special requirements: Due to the nature of some of the potential ministry engagement opportunities, students that serve on this project will need to be mature and understand they will be working among peoples in very difficult situations.
Spain :: Engage with Indigenous Speakers Using Your Gifts :: June 2-July 2

This team will be focusing on Catalan speakers in Catalunya within Spain. Participants will use their gifts and interests to connect with local people while engaging in prayer and missional conversations. Art, music, and sport are all great ways to connect with people and appreciate their culture and way of life. This act of listening and appreciation can be a good first step to a missional conversation about life with Jesus and our Creator. Our desire is to see new work open among European minority language groups – your participation in this project is part of our strategy to see that work begin!
As the trade language in Andorra is Spanish, it would be very helpful and advisable if interested students (1) already possessed some good proficiency in Spanish before arrival (level A2 or higher), or (2) would be willing to commit to go through our “crash-course” (free and by distance learning) in Spanish before arrival on field. No knowledge of Catalan is required or expected before arrival, as an intensive introduction to Catalan will be offered as part of the initial, on-field orientation.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to be prepared to learn Spanish/Catalan language. This is a pioneer project – students will need to be bold and self-starters.
Sydney, Australia :: Sydney Children and Youth Interns :: May 19 – July 23
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $4184 (includes housing, most meals, transportation, and travel insurance)

As a student intern, you will be encouraged to serve according to your gifting with a special focus on children and youth. You will have the opportunity to teach scripture in both public and private schools. In addition, you will be assisting in the children and youth outreach at The Refuge Baptist Church as well as in the nearby skate park. You will also help prepare for a holiday club community outreach in early July.
Special requirements: This project is designed for students interested in children and youth ministry through a local church in Sydney.
Toronto, Canada :: Media Ministry in Toronto :: May 15- July 31

Our ministry focuses on disciple-making movements among Hindus in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) of Canada. We do this by establishing care cells in various cities in the GTA where Hindus experience Jesus in a meaningful way through connecting with Christians as part of our groups. The student working with our ministry would help with designing prayer cards, preparing a ministry video/presentation, and other communication needs. Students will experience cultural immersion, witness strategies for working among Hindus, and gain experience in cross-cultural missions in a North American setting.
Our ministry setting is Toronto and its suburbs and focuses on international students and immigrants from India. There are over 100,000 international students from India in this area and 1M+ Indian immigrants. Most Indians are devout Hindus and have established over 100 Hindu temples and learning centers in the Toronto area. Toronto and its suburbs are culturally diverse with a thriving and growing immigrant population from all over the globe.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to know that you will be serving among unreached and unengaged peoples from West Africa. This will be a pioneer work. You must be bold and a self-starter.
Wales :: Skateboarding/Sports/Recreation with Welsh Speakers :: June 2-July 2

Linguæ Christi has embraced the calling of engaging with Celtic language and minority language peoples in Europe, seeking creative ways to engage these peoples. This team would be staying in Caernarfon, which is a specifically Welsh-speaking area, and seeking to develop friendships with Welsh speakers. Through common interests in skateboarding and/or similar recreation, students will build relationships and foster spiritual conversations with Welsh speakers of similar interests.
This team is ideal for people with a background and/or interest in skating/sport/recreation, who can use these interests/talents as a natural connection point with Welsh speakers. Students will be given an intensive course in Welsh language learning upon arrival.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to be prepared to learn the Welsh language. This is a pioneer project – students will need to be bold and self-starters. Students should also have some ability/interest in skateboarding and other sports.
Wales :: Surfing/Water Sports with Welsh Speakers :: June 2-July 2
