PAST MISSIONS
Refugee Ministry
Clarkston is one of the most diverse communities in America. Known as the “Ellis Island of the South,” nearly 70% of the population is foreign-born, representing more than 50 countries with more than 100 distinct ethnic groups—all living within 1.4 square miles. This provides tremendous opportunities for churches and individuals to invest in the residents of this unique community. This team will be a part of an immersive experience at the Send Relief Ministry Center, engaging in refugee ministry as well as various ministry outreach projects throughout the Atlanta metro area. This team will be participating in a variety of compassion opportunities that may include apartment outreach, food pantry ministry, after-school programs, sports ministry, canvassing, prayer walking, homeless ministry, physical labor, and serving at-risk families. Aspects of training and equipping to learn how to better serve the international and refugee communities will be woven in, so that you can go back and apply this in your city.
Share with University Students
Use your Christmas break to come alongside ministry partners engaging university students with the Gospel. Quebec is the most unreached place in North America with a long history of religious tension with the Catholic church that’s led to post-Catholic and post-modern culture. The exciting thing is that young adults are seeking and desiring to find something authentic and true. Are you ready to come and share the only true hope of the world with them? Use your gifts, passions, interest, and this special season to look for opportunities to share Jesus!
Christmas Backpack Project
This team of students would join First Baptist Church, LaCenter, KY, in a Christmas outreach event where the backpacks BCMs from across Alabama will be distributed to children in their community. Students will also serve in outreach opportunities in local schools and alongside other ministries in the area.
Christmas Backpack Project
This team of students would join Revolution Revived Christian Church in a Christmas outreach event where the backpacks BCMs across the state have gathered will be distributed to children in their community. Students will also serve in other outreach opportunities alongside other churches/ministries in Mobile County. Students will be responsible for transportation to Mobile.
Share Hope with International Students
Many international students studying in Hungary do not get to go home for Christmas…but all of them speak English! Engage with them by taking someone for coffee, sitting down for board game, providing a study break in the student lounge, or taking someone to the park to shoot fireworks for New Year’s Eve. Each occasion provides an opportunity to show God’s love for the nations through actions and opens doors to also share the Good News. Use your gifts and passions to share the hope of Christmas with international students!
