Linguæ Christi has embraced the calling of engaging with Celtic language and minority language peoples in Europe, seeking creative ways to engage these peoples. This team would be staying in Caernarfon, which is a specifically Welsh-speaking area, and seeking to develop friendships with Welsh speakers. Through common interests in skateboarding and/or similar recreation, students will build relationships and foster spiritual conversations with Welsh speakers of similar interests.
This team is ideal for people with a background and/or interest in skating/sport/recreation, who can use these interests/talents as a natural connection point with Welsh speakers. Students will be given an intensive course in Welsh language learning upon arrival.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to be prepared to learn the Welsh language. This is a pioneer project – students will need to be bold and self-starters. Students should also have some ability/interest in skateboarding and other sports.
