Our ministry focuses on disciple-making movements among Hindus in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) of Canada. We do this by establishing care cells in various cities in the GTA where Hindus experience Jesus in a meaningful way through connecting with Christians as part of our groups. The student working with our ministry would help with designing prayer cards, preparing a ministry video/presentation, and other communication needs. Students will experience cultural immersion, witness strategies for working among Hindus, and gain experience in cross-cultural missions in a North American setting.
Our ministry setting is Toronto and its suburbs and focuses on international students and immigrants from India. There are over 100,000 international students from India in this area and 1M+ Indian immigrants. Most Indians are devout Hindus and have established over 100 Hindu temples and learning centers in the Toronto area. Toronto and its suburbs are culturally diverse with a thriving and growing immigrant population from all over the globe.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to know that you will be serving among unreached and unengaged peoples from West Africa. This will be a pioneer work. You must be bold and a self-starter.
