Huntington is a small, urban environment surrounded by a larger rural community. New Life Ministries (NLM) seeks to engage the least of these in the community through a variety of ministry opportunities. Students who serve alongside NLM can be expected to learn more about compassion ministry in inner city settings. Some of the opportunities this team will engage in include helping with the meal ministry (cooking, serving, cleaning, etc.), helping organize and conduct outreach events (VBS, block parties, canvassing, etc.), men’s and women’s ministries, and physical labor (painting, landscaping, etc.).
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project need to understand that many of those they will be serving among have come from very difficult situations.
