Students serving at MCH will be immersed in urban ministry, living and working in one of the most diverse cities in America! You will be trained to share your faith, disciple others, and engage in personal spiritual disciplines. It is our desire to help you grow as a disciple of Christ and to equip you for mission work long after your time with us is through. Each week, missionaries will have multiple opportunities to teach and serve kids, teens, seniors, the homeless, adults, and the homebound. You will also lead weekly visiting youth groups in prayer walking and serving with us. Sundays are extra special as you attend different types of churches in Houston, with some of them having various ethnicities! You will develop as a leader and a disciple, and your vision for missions will grow exponentially.
Our centers are located in under-resourced, urban areas in the inner city of Houston. Our neighbors are primarily Hispanic and 96-98% of the school population are classified as living in poverty, as defined by our government.
Special requirements: Spanish is not required, but helpful. Students that serve on this project will need to have compassion for ‘the least of these.’
