Do you want to spend a summer working in a Buddhist city of more than 7 million unbelievers? Excited about sharing the gospel with Buddhists who have never heard the name of Jesus? Join us as we meet physical needs (food, water, education, etc.) to display the love of God, go door-to-door in villages sharing the Gospel, and make disciples alongside local believers.
Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Following your summer of ministry, you will return to the US for a joint debrief... sharing all God has done over the summer. Participants must commit to the entire program from orientation through the end of debrief.
Special requirements: Students that serve on this project should have an interest in engaging people that have never heard that Gospel in a difficult context. Expect to be sitting on the floor for hours, weather extremes and spiritual darkness. Team members should be in good overall health, those with severe food allergies may want to consider other options as their needs may not be able to be accommodated.
