National Collegiate Week

From the International Mission Board:

At National Collegiate Week – Glorieta, the IMB led 2000 students to pray for and adopt the Eastern Gepo peoples in Southern China.   There were no known Christians among this unreached people group of 80,000.  There is no Scripture in their language.  Some of the Gepo villages are in areas that are difficult to access.   Just 4 weeks after students prayed for the Gepo we have received a report of 7 Gepo trusting Jesus as Savior and Lord, the first known Gepo believers.   This happened through a sports camp in one of the villages.

There are multiple opportunities for students to share their faith with the Gepo peoples.  Students may help build latrines or provide clean water in Gepo villages.  They can be involved in sports camps and medical clinics.  Students can even be a scout, looking for Gepo villages in the mountains of Southern China.  Students can serve this Christmas through Christmas in China, or next summer or even for a semester.  Some student teams are already signed up to serve during their Christmas break.
