Join us in our city of 3.5 million people, from all walks of life, who are trapped in darkness. We need students who are ready, able, and eager to be creative and look for ways to engage our city with the Gospel. Using your gifts and skills, you can impact our city by engaging the English language community, doing outreach to victims of human trafficking, involvement in small business development, and exploring the streets looking for open doors.
Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will then travel to your field destination for the summer. At the end of the summer, you'll return for some final days of debrief. Participants must commit to the entire program from orientation through the end of debrief.
Special requirements: Due to the nature of some of the potential ministry engagement opportunities, students that serve on this project will need to be mature and understand they will be working among peoples in very difficult situations.
