One Missions Students wants to help you as you are seeking to be obedient to God’s call to serve the nations this Christmas! Applying to serve in any opportunities listed below through One Mission Students qualifies you for up to 30% of your total field costs and transportation (but no more than $1,500) in financial assistance if you complete all requirements listed below. Financial assistance is also based on the amount of fundraising assistance you provide in your local BCM. If you’re considering service internationally – get your passport today! You must have applied for a passport to be appointed for international service.
One Mission Students must be:
- Maturing Christians
- Active in an Alabama BCM or Alabama Baptist Church
- Be of good physical and emotional health
- Participate in personal evangelism on your college campus
- Students must refrain from any use of alcohol, tobacco, pornography, sexual contact outside of marriage, and/or any other activity that will call into question your integrity or hinder one’s witness for Christ.
- Completed one semester of college
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- You must also attend a training for your place of service, information will be given after you are appointed.

Students will spend six days partnering with urban and suburban church plants to engage their communities. Students will also participate in panel and round table discussions involving ministry practitioners who are on the front lines of pushing back darkness in one of America’s fastest-growing and most unchurched cities.
International Christmas: New York
Dec. 17-23 or Dec. 25-Jan. 1 (Please note: Dec. 25 is a travel day; project begins on Dec. 26)
Cost: $500 (includes all expenses – airfare, meals and lodging)
Week One: Experience Christmas in Jackson Heights, Queens where you’ll be immersed in the radiant cultures of South Asia! In Jackson Heights you’ll encounter people from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet and Bangladesh. A subway ride from Manhattan, but a world apart; you’ll visit mosques and temples with the Christian church planters and work alongside them as they engage people of peace and share God’s grace. Week Two: More East Asians call New York City home than any other city in the U.S. Come and experience three distinct and thriving Chinatowns across the three boroughs. You’ll work with children during a winter Vacation Bible School in Manhattan’s well-known Chinatown and serve alongside the church planters who live and work in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park and Flushing, Queens.
Christmas in China
