One Missions Students wants to help you as you are seeking to be obedient to God’s call to serve the nations this Christmas! Applying to serve in any opportunities listed below through One Mission Students qualifies you for financial assistance (included in the price) if you complete all requirements listed below. If you’re considering service internationally – you must already have a passport application in process before you apply!
The deadline to apply for Christmas projects is September 29, 2023.
One Mission Students must be:
- Maturing Christians
- Active in an Alabama BCM or Alabama Baptist Church
- Be of good physical and emotional health
- Participate in personal evangelism on your college campus
- Students must refrain from any use of alcohol, tobacco, pornography, sexual contact outside of marriage, and/or any other activity that will call into question your integrity or hinder one’s witness for Christ.
- Completed one semester of college
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- You must also attend a training for your place of service, information will be given after you are appointed.
- Complete zoom or in person interview with One Mission Students leadership – interviews will be on Oct. 10, 11, and 12. You will receive an email after your application has been submitted to schedule your interview.
- Commitment to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and US State Department
- You must be willing to be vaccinated with any vaccines required by a country/city to travel to or through that country. The One Mission Students team will discuss this further with you on a case by case basis.

Fort Wayne, Indiana :: Christmas Community Engagement
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $250
WHAT YOU PAY (includes OMS Contribution): $125 (cost includes meals, lodging, transportation, insurance, and ministry expenses)
Students will serve alongside New Life Ministries including ministry to homeless and those that have struggled with addiction, feeding ministries and more. Students will help to lead devotionals and lead in worship gatherings, assist with feeding ministry outreach and other community engagement opportunities.
New York City :: International Christmas New York
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $1100
WHAT YOU PAY (includes OMS Contribution): $875 (includes meal stipend, lodging, transportation, insurance, and ministry expenses)
Go to the Ends of the Earth in just one week! Students will be immersed in the cultures of East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and South and Central America as they partner with local churches to engage the nations and share the hope of Christmas. Outreach opportunities will include English as a Second Language classes, Christmas parties, canvassing, and more.
Panama :: Reaching the Ends of the Earth in Panama
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $2800
WHAT YOU PAY (includes OMS Contribution): $2000 (includes flight, meals, local transportation, and insurance)
Come to Panama and work in a remote indigenous village to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ through prayer walking, community projects, opportunities to teach English, and playing sports with the youth of the community. Our goal is to connect and equip national and US church partners with opportunities in Central America to share the Gospel, make disciples, meet human needs and plant and empower healthy churches to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
*This project will be very remote…you’ll travel by plane, car, and boat to reach this remote village. Weather will be very hot and humid. Students will only be allowed to pack in a backpack.
